Near the raspberry bed, something distracted me!

And after all that fun, a sleep......

Some of the things I didn't know about cats and have learnt since having one

Cat flap - why use the cat flap when I am stood in the kitchen to open the door
Food - the trauma of finding the right one for cat and owner!
Cats can growl - I never knew this, on hearing Rosie growl for the first time I was shocked and yet ever so slightly impressed and proud
Cardboard boxes - what is it with them, I soon found out to my cost having purchased a cosy cat cave, this was completely ignored for a shoe box
Expressive back treatment - My colleague Liz named this - so thank you Liz, the moment when you come home after being away for too long or you have administered the spot on treatment and they ignore you with an expressive back
The munchie box rattle - again another Lizism - known by many a cat owner, that rattle at night to lure your cat in from outside
Cats can teleport - that uneasy moment where you see your cat outside then you turn around in the bathroom and they are there - cue creepy cat music
Cats can levitate - I kid you not, I swear I saw Rosie jump into my open window and onto the sill without any form of leg movement or spring

Herbal loves

Lavender - bees love it, we love it, makes a garden buzz and hum with scent and energy!
Chamomile - apple scented calming tea - just the tonic for a hectic day and as our lecturer put it so well - calms a 'chattering mind'
Basil - hmmm, summer, tomatoes, and pizza and pasta!
Lemon Verbena - think fizzing sherbet lemons and you have this. Makes a calming tea and great for desserts - Lemon Verbena Sorbet?
Sage - another plant you can't help but rub! Stuffings teeth cleaning, gargling and more
Rosemary - who can't help but rub their hands against rosemary when you pass it. A great addition to any garden, its always there rain or shine!
